Being prepared mentally can be your #1 asset. This mental check list could unlock your greatest potential.
  1. Have a set routine for every shot.

  2. Play 1 shot at a time. Don't dwell on past or future.

  3. Create a positive mental picture of the shot you are about ready to play. Now, get out of your own way and let it happen. TRUST.

  4. Have confidence in your swing prior to hitting a shot. If doubts creep in, start your pre-shot routine again.

  5. Don't set unrealistic expectations. There are always good and bad days. Play within your own abilities.

  6. Play to your own personality. Aggresive, patient...

  7. Don't judge the shot you just hit -- watch it, analyze it objectively and store the information away, good or bad. DO NOT CRITICIZE YOURSELF, this will interfere with your next shot.
Remember:
When you practice you should work on good fundamentals.
When you play you should focus more on the target.
